I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you for visiting our site. The Deepings is an 11-18 mixed comprehensive school, currently with 1455+ students on roll. We are a specialist Business and Enterprise College as well as being a Community School.

I am in my fifth year as Headteacher and I am delighted with the progress we have made.

The school is vibrant and progressive with learning as our core purpose. Our students matter and we continually strive to meet their individual and unique needs.

Our latest Ofsted inspection took place just before Xmas in 2009 and we absolutely delighted with the grade 1, ‘outstanding’ outcome. In fact we achieved grade 1 in 26 out of the 31 judgements. Some of the quotes from the report include: "Outstanding quality of education"

The school is constantly oversubscribed and we currently have our largest ever Sixth form at 300. Our exam results are excellent and at GCSE we have seen a 20% increase, at 5 A*-C, over the last two years. Our value added is impressive and more importantly students enjoy school. Our curriculum was seen by Ofsted as ‘outstanding’.

Of course a good school is not just about exam results and we are justifiably proud of any student who learns to read or develops a skill in sport, as much as the one who goes to an Oxbridge place.

The school and all its activity is right at the heart of our community and The Deepings is a wonderful place to live and work. We work very closely with local groups and of course our feeder Primary Schools, who are excellent.

We have also entered into a formal partnership with The Queen Eleanor Technology School in Stamford.
