The Deepings School will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary starting September 2008 and plans are already underway for a series of events and activities. The school opened its doors to the local community for the first time on the 9th September 1958 with an intake of 247. The last 50 years have seen five Head teachers and of course major changes to the site and buildings. The school now has almost 1400 students on roll and a workforce of over 200!
We invite all pupils, former and present, their families and the local community to join in with our celebrations during 2008 and 2009.
Planned events:
- Showtime at The Deepings School
- Commemorative plaques– record your association with the school in perpetuity
If you have any queries please phone the school on 01778 342159 or E-Mail Office (

Celebratory Logo Change
For the 50th Anniversary celebrations we have redesigned our logo just for one year only. We have returned to the original logo from 1958.
The badge combines the three cockle shells of St James and the symbol of the departure of St Guthlac by boat from Market Deeping to Crowland.
