The Deepings is a county controlled school and as such follows the admission procedure as laid down in the "Going to School in Lincolnshire" book.
This is a popular school and in recent years the school has been significantly over subscribed. It is, therefore, particularly important that parents should read the book "Going to School in Lincolnshire" very carefully prior to completing the admissions form.
Mid – year admissions
When you are moving house to Lincolnshire, or another area of Lincolnshire, one of the first things you should do – even before you arrive if possible – is to try to arrange a place for your child in a new school.
You should contact the Admissions Manager to arrange an appointment to visit the school, find out if the school has any places available and to obtain an application pack.
Click here to view the contact details for Mrs Sharron Baird-Parker (Admissions Manager).
You should be aware that:
- Places that are available when you first approach schools may be taken up before you move in.
- Places will not be offered until you have made a legal commitment to move.
- Places can only be held for a limited time.
The Deepings School operates a reserve list and some year groups may have a waiting list. If this is the case, you will be asked for some details so that you can be added to the list and you will be required to keep the Admissions Manager informed as your circumstances change. Should a place become available, then the place will be allocated in line with the admission procedure as laid down in the "Going to School in Lincolnshire" book.
If you have any problems in getting a place for your child, you should contact the Education Team on 01522 782030 or E-mail

When moving into an area, never assume that there will automatically be a place for your child in the nearest school or your preferred school. Always make enquires in advance.
Appeals
It may not be possible to get your child into the school you prefer if the school is full. You can ask for an independent admissions appeal panel to hear your appeal against the decision not to offer a place to your child. For more information see the section on appeals in the "Going to School in Lincolnshire" booklet or contact the Education Team as above.
