Ryman National Enterprise ChallengeBack to News
Year 9 students took part in the Ryman National Enterprise Challenge to learn more about entrepreneurship and to develop their key skills.
Working in groups of up to six, 45 teams had to create a ‘back to school’ marketing campaign which featured a new stationery product, ably led by an inspirational team from the National Enterprise organisation who delivered some brilliant, interactive activities and offered guidance throughout the morning.
Daniel from the enterprise challenge organisation commented: “The ideas your students have produced during the morning are incredible. They have really worked hard and developed some great skills”
Eight teams presented to the whole year group and these were then reduced to just four. After lunch the finalists made their team presentations to another panel of judges - Head teacher Mr Lord, School Business Manager Mrs Goodchild, Careers & Events Manager Mrs Taylor and Governor Ms Morgan.
All of the shortlisted teams provided an entertaining and innovative pitch and, after much deliberation and discussion, the team chosen to represent the school at the National Finals in July was Team 32.
The team is made up of:
Evie Alexander, Louis Allen, Ruby Carlisle, Thomas Finbow and Ruby Grey.
The panel were very keen to express their thanks to all the teams who were selected and remarked how confident and innovative they were.
We would also like to thank British Sugar who kindly co-sponsored our event this year and we look forward to inviting their representatives along to the finals, to see our team in action!
