June has been a busy month in the Sixth Form!

On 20th June, our Year 12s had their first insight into life after school on a trip to the UCAS Higher Education Exhibition at the University of Bedfordshire.  It was a great chance for students to ask questions about what the future may hold, gather information and get inspired – with all aspects covered from university and volunteer work to gap years and career opportunities.

Over 150 exhibitors were at the event and there was a programme of seminars, live music and the sun shone, too!

Then on Monday 26th June applicants to The Deepings School Sixth Form attended our Induction Day.  The day gave students the chance to find out about what Sixth Form life is all about and to experience our purpose built Sixth Form centre and its facilities.

All students had a personalised timetable and were able to attend a lesson for each of their chosen subjects.  As well as our own Year 11s we were joined by students from several local schools.  Our students were excellent ambassadors, making external students feel welcome and offering to show them around the school.

We look forward to welcoming our new students in September.
