Year 9 Netball vs Spalding High School
Overall we played very well and we were very pleased with our performance especially as it was our first game of the season. There were a few things that we could improve such as our spacing but I’m sure that with training this will definitely develop.
The game ended with a 7-4 victory to Spalding High but our team spirit never faltered and we can’t wait for our next game!
Evie Spittlehouse – Vice Captain

Year 10 Netball vs Spalding High School
Good efforts against very strong opponents. Our Defence were strong and solid but found it difficult as the opposing shooters had a huge height advantage. An area for our development is team positioning but this will become stronger with training and key players being available. Driving on to the ball is something to focus on for the future.
But overall well done girls!
Emily Bates – Team Captain
Squad: Emily Bates, Emily McCann, Lauren McDonald, Harriet Spriggs, Rebecca Groves, Eve Parker, Elise Nathan, Lucy Gauntlett, Millie Lynch
Year 11 Netball vs Spalding High School
On the hottest day in September since 1911 saw the year 11’s take to the court for their first game of the season against a very strong Spalding High school. The first quarter ended 4-3 to Spalding with Deeping having most of the possession. A slightly scrappy second quarter ended 5-5. Deeping showed a huge amount determination and team spirit to draw level.
The second half of the game saw Spalding pull away but purely because of the accuracy of their shooters. Deeping had most of the ball for most of the game but simply couldn’t convert. The focus for training will be accuracy and consistency in shooting for all attacking players. Final score 11-8 loss which really should have been a Deeping win. I’m looking forward to our next game already! Good start girls – we know what we need to do to improve.
Mrs Donaldson – Team Manager
Squad: Shanice Forster, Leah Forster, Imy Morgan, Steph Watkinson, Beth Edmonds, Caitlin Back, Chloe Squires, Emily Bates.
Year 7 Netball Vs Spalding High School
On Wednesday 21 September the Year 7’s played their first netball match against Spalding High School. Despite the score line, 19-2 (to SHS) all of our girls worked well together and gave it the best we could.
We worked really well together and this showed in the second and third quarter where we conceded far less goals than in the first quarter.
Player of the match was awarded to Lilly McDonald. It was an amazing game and we look forward to playing many more soon!

Year 11 Football Vs Bourne Academy
Deeping 1 - 1 Bourne
The year 11’s entertained Bourne Academy in their opening fixture of the season. A very impressive display by the team who were unlucky not to win the game. Bourne were first to open the scoring when a deflected cross from the right trickled into the far corner of the goal. After this, Deeping imposed themselves on the game, and after countless attacks the goal finally came. James Ware popping up in the box to squeeze the ball past the keeper. The team kept pressing for the winning goal but were undone by some great goalkeeping and squandered chances. Good all round effort to take into the next game.
