Key Stage 4

Key Stage 4 –Years 9, 10 and 11

Our focus at Key Stage 4 is to provide a Curriculum for students which will provide them with the qualifications and experiences they need to progress onto a wide range of further study, employment and/or training destinations.

In order to allow optimum time for the Core subjects (English, Maths and Science) and at the same time provide a broad range of options students start their GCSE study in Year 9.  All students will study at least 9 GCSE subjects.

All our Key Stage 4 students study a core GCSE Curriculum of English, Mathematics, Science, and either Geography or History. Most of our students follow a Modern Foreign Language (in most cases Spanish) as well as non-examination courses in PE and SEE (Social and Ethical Education).  In addition, students are able to choose from a wide range of option subjects.
